The Camden Garden Club was established in 1915 by a group of like-minded women with the mission to develop and preserve the beauty in and around Camden, Maine. Over a century later, the commitment of the women and men of the club remains steadfast and continues to guide us into our second 100 years.
The Camden Garden Club is the oldest federated garden club in Maine, and its annual Garden and Home Tour has become so popular that many tourists plan their vacations around it.
The 72nd Annual Camden Garden and Home Tour
This year’s tour is July 18, 2019 from 9:30 am - 4 pm. There are exciting changes to this year's tour, including a new central location (St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church) to pick up online purchased tickets and to buy tickets the day of the tour, and a raffle to win an original painting by local artist Colin Page.
Past tours have featured diverse properties including the renowned Summer Harp Colony of America, located in one of the large shingled "cottages" on Penobscot Bay. The Colony attracted harpists from around the world, which added to Camden's reputation as a summer resort.
