Demonstrations

A new aspect to the day will be two garden demonstrations held at one of Camden’s best-kept secrets, a modern barn in the middle of town that sits between an apple orchard, a wooded area, raised dahlia beds, and a wildflower meadow. All ticket holders are invited to enjoy special sessions held both in the morning and afternoon.

Linda Redmond of Brae Maple Farm will show us how to build twiggy arches, gates, and arbors demonstrating "Twigs & Things” using nature’s gifts to enhance your garden designs.

Gabrielle Jansen of Fire Bird Farm will create beautiful works of art from dried flowers during her demonstration “Everlasting Flower Wallhanging.”

Win Big with 3 Exciting Raffles

Tickets are only $10, cash only, sold on-site. Prizes include: Linda Redmond’s original “Twigs & Things”, a Cassie Sano original painting, and an “Everlasting Floral Wallhanging” handmade by Gabrielle Jansen.

Cassie Sano

An oil and watercolor plein air painter from Augusta, Maine, Cassie is inspired by the natural beauty of coastal and inland landscapes. She is drawn to scenes with an abundance of color (especially gardens) and enjoys creating wide-lens compositions that tell a complete story of a location. She is a member of the Red Barn Gallery, River Arts Gallery, Maine Art Gallery, BRAF, UMVA, and organizer of the Kennebec Valley Plein Air Painters.

Gabrielle Jansen is a flower farmer of Firebird Farm in Union, Maine. Originally from Australia, Gabrielle connects to the seasonality of the northeast through her dried flower artistry— extending the ephemeral beauty far beyond the growing season. Dried blooms are a sustainable option for floristry, and in her workshop you will learn how to create an everlasting flower wall hanging.
